How important is it to love your home? 🏠
Turns out, it’s even more important than you think.

Most of us agree that the modern world can be pretty overwhelming. Out there, there’s very little within your control, and that’s… unsettling. 😬
But at home, it’s a completely different story. You have agency, you have influence, and you can make meaningful choices that make you feel less overwhelmed.
Your home is your number one resource for helping you feel settled again.
Here’s where it gets really interesting:
That settled feeling is actually a nervous system state. It’s when you get to set down your defenses and allow yourself to be at ease. It’s in that “at ease” place that you think, feel, and connect the best.
You probably already recognize that when you’re stressed and tired, you don’t do those things as well. You might also know that prolonged periods of feeling stressed and tired take a toll on your productivity, relationships, finances, and health.
A home you love puts you at ease. That means that when you love your home, you’re less overwhelmed, and you think 🧠, feel 🫀, and connect 🫶 better.
Loving your home isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how your home makes you feel.
Do you feel supported by your home?
Do you feel like you can actually arrive and let your body fully relax?
Do you feel like you can finally get a break from the overwhelm in the world?
Or do you feel like your home is just one more thing demanding something of you?
That’s how most people feel. Their home is just more work that needs doing.
This is exactly where the opportunity comes in! You can decrease the demands and get your home to work for you, instead of you working for it.
Imagine coming home and actually wanting to be there, loving the way you feel as you fully relax into your favorite space. 🧘♀️
You get to have a break from the overwhelm and stress. Your nervous system and mind get to quiet down. The benefits trickle into your productivity 📝, relationships 🤝, finances 💵, and health 🩻.
Your home isn’t just your sanctuary, it’s your ally in life.
Think of it as a charging station. It should be recharging you, not draining you. 🪫→🔋
That’s why I’ve spent the last two years studying the ways your home can support you on a deeper level. Yes, we love the look of a coherently designed space, but do you know what we love even more? Moments where we can feel more present and connected and satisfied in life.
There’s no one way to do it, and I can’t give you all the fixes at once. But we can have an ongoing conversation where we explore the benefits of loving your home and ask all kinds of questions about how to do that best!
Like this one:
What do you do when you have a 700 square foot home with 5 people living in it, a dog, and too much stuff? Next week I’m sharing the real-life story about how we took on this challenge… with only 4 days and $0 to work with! Spoiler alert: it had so many MORE ongoing benefits than we even anticipated.
Until then, I hope you remember:
Any little thing you do to love your home more matters. A well-loved home is one of the most powerful resources we have in life! ❤️🏠❤️
